Jump to recipe

A tri-tip sirloin French dip is a rich, hearty sandwich that delivers bold flavor in every bite. Made with shredded, perfectly roasted tri-tip piled high on a crusty French roll and served with warm, savory au jus for dipping, it’s the kind of meal that feels both indulgent and satisfying. Tri-tip sirloin has just the right marbling and tenderness to make each bite juicy and full of flavor, but you might have to ask your grocery store butcher for it—this cut isn’t always out on the shelf, especially in areas where it’s less common. Don’t be shy; they’ll usually have it in the back and can cut it fresh for you, which makes all the difference in crafting the perfect French dip at home.
